Depending on certian things. Some MLMs you HAVE to get people to sign up to make any money at all. Others you can get others to sign up and it helps you but it does not make you. Mineral Girlz has one level of downlines that help their upline and that is it. Not 50 levels and you need all 50 to make money. That is the big difference between them.

Robert Kiyosaki highly recommends networking companies, not just for the income but the real world business lessons you can get out of it, while using a small start-up. But he counsels us about choosing the right company. Be very careful, and with due diligence and by following the system closely, you may do quite well. Don't go into something without having enough capital to spare or else it will eat you alive. You must at least like sales and talking to people. I recommend companies like NuSkin - this one is registered with the New York stock exchange.

they are legit but you'll need to do your homework. some will push you to learn by selling you educational tools (books, dvds, etc), others push you to bring more members (like a gym membership in the beginning of the year). in order to benefit you'll need to research your finanicial monthly committment (their rules on how to earn money is buried in fine print complex formulas–ie you can earn $7 but you got to sale $300).

the best thing, buy it from them, sell it to your company, then resell it to the public.

FYI - Pyramid schemes are those where you buy your merchandise off of the person that sponsors you… legitimate Network Marketing companies would never tolerate that - make sure you purchase directly from the company. The company pays you the bonus - make sure it is a legitimate company - one with decades of integrity / service / reputation….not a company that sells, concoctions like wingowango juice or books, tapes, cd's, or some strange product that you have to convince someone that its good…. with a legitimate, time tested company, you have the potential to make unlimited residual income, (potentially thousands of dollars per month) you have a choice if you want to lead a team of productive independent assocates that you have taught to do the same thing…. This is NOT a get rich quick scheme… it takes 3 - 5 years of consistent effort - but wow…it REALLY pays off…. (in the meantime, just by owning your own business you can save thousands on your income tax every year too…)
