No.

MlM is under a constant cloud because of those who have abused the concept and used it to scam people. Yep there are as amny genuine MLM's as there are sacams out there - everyone wants to make some money lol.

THE PRODUCT:
Never judge only the product - by the way the product can be a service or a tangible one: Bare in mind that the produt has to make sense and does NOT include drugs, fire arms, human parts and the like.

-Look at the QUALITY of service
-Pompt reply to queries by the company? If not don't bother with them. They should reply to any queey withn 2 1/2 days at the most.
-Always cross check with a solicitor/ law/lawyer with the MLM compnay's Terms and conditions!

It is important. But the most important thing is having a system to get fresh leads & make follow up with them.

No, the product quality is not the only criteria people judge MLM or Network Marketing.
There are many great products and or services offered through the industry. It is not the products or services that are creating the constant cloud of controversy. Open-minded and close-minded are two of the terms used far too loosely in the industry as well. When someone questions the traditional marketing practices of MLM or Network Marketing they are far too often labeled "close-minded." If you have selected a product that you would like to promote and you are comfortable with the compensation plan, the next step is to learn target market skills rather then hassling friends and family.

Best Regards!
